INNATE TRADITIONS postpartum care focuses on long term care and vitality of the birth parent to enrich their well-being, that ultimately weaves babe, family and community in the process. Not a luxury but indigenous science standard practice.
Based on traditions of humankind, innate wisdom. This can incorporate traditional cultural practices around the globe. INNATE TRADITIONS Postpartum care knits these primary systems together for whole hearted root down healing:

Innate Traditions postpartum care is based on the physiology required for long term health for postnatal people.
My work includes a custom combination of the following in office visits:
• bodywork like craniosacral + ATMAT® (Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy) • Scar tissue reduction w/ Motor oil (medicinal plant infused castor oil) application + hand picked Homer, Alaska stones; hot stone~ heat application • Reflexology & Acutonics • personalized flower essences • herbal remedies • spiritual mending • Rosita meditations~ uterine & blue door • pelvic bowl steams & genital soaks • rebozo~ closing the bones • * kitchari meal preparation • setting up a meal train for you • hearing and recording birth story • moxabustion treatments
Craniosacral is similar for infants as it is for adults in that its’ light touch & effective. As a CST practitioner we notice things from the outside- in by gentle hands- on contact (although sometimes this work is performed off the physical body). The craniosacral fluid is about a half cup of fluid that runs around the brain & down the spine. This fluid is like that of the ocean, it has its’ own rhythm that’s accessed anywhere on the body but most often a CST practitioner begins at the base of the skull (occiput) &/or low back (sacrum). Through non invasive touch CST practitioners sense where adhesions might be by assessing craniosacral flow & the layers of the body~ tissues & membranes.

Who Benefits?
Baby of course benefits from receiving CST. As does birth parent & non gestational parent. When tension is released from the body, baby is more free to express & meet their needs. When baby’s needs are met, baby is often soothed & calm. In return, parents feel more assured & the family unit may integrate this new postpartum chapter with deeper ease.

Simple Truths unveiled by my teacher, Rachelle Seliga Garcia;
"Proper PHYSICAL CARE in the postpartum period (and in general!), supports our Endocrine System, our Nervous System and our Neurological Systems. In other words: Proper physical care lends to EMOTIONAL HEALTH.
•
And Likewise, when our EMOTIONAL NEEDS are met—receiving the security, attention, connection, community, acknowledgement that we need, our Immune System and Cardiovascular System are positively affected. In other words: Tending to our Emotional health creates Physical Health."
This work emphasizes the need to prioritize postpartum care. It’s not a luxury but tends to lifelong health and wellness of body, spirit, mental and emotional wellness and soul support.
One of the ways we can best give care for our future generations is to optimally support birth parents. When birth parents are well nourished they are most equipped to give energy to their babies. Postpartum care builds a foundation where birth parents are empowered to thrive.
